Vintage 1940s Sweetheart Bracelet by D.F. Briggs

Sweetheart bracelets were gifted to women from soldiers during the late 1930s/early 1940s before they went off to war. They often had expandable metal bands like this one. The center of this bracelet is a coin shaped circled that was meant to be engraved with initials. Marked Carmen inside the band.

There is no closure for this piece it simply expands and glides over the wrist.
